Beach Wedding or Bridal Shower

Want to know a little secret? A Designer/Stylist + a vintage Paper Specialist + Cupcake/Bake shop = an Amazing Beach Wedding TableScape (at least it does in this case!). Lisa, of Fancy That and her friends definitely have a recipe for success… I’m loving how they incorporated a serene “beach-life” vibe into this romantic dessert table, which is lovely creative inspiration for everything from weddings to bridal showers and engagement parties!

Everything about this theme is incredibly creative: from the graham cracker sand scattered on top of the cake & cupcakes, to the beautiful hand stamped sea-shells with the bride and grooms names to  the message in a bottle cake topper (complete with a little distressed vintage love note of course!). Also loving the edible sea-shell & distressed paper flag cupcake toppers… Even the party favors are adorned with frayed “rope” and a distressed star-fish tag to complete the soft, beach-y feel.

PARTY DETAILS, as told by Lisa

“So many of our party designs have bright colors and a modern look that we decided to try something a little different and put together a soft, beach wedding theme!

The feel of the wedding started with the cake and cupcakes. Ann came up with the fabulous idea of a message in a bottle cake topper with a custom distressed banner.  The cupcakes were covered in graham cracker ‘sand’ and topped with a custom distressed flag and small candy shells.

We incorporated three different party favors into this theme, s’mores boxes, custom chocolate bars, and fabric bags of salt water taffy.   Each favor included a custom favor tag.  One of my favorite accents is the shells that were hand stamped with the couples names.

Last but not least, the invitation was a wrapped in a beautiful paper and tucked in a soft blue box with a starfish.”

Such a peaceful and romantic theme for a wedding. I think it would also be great for a retirement party, a summer family reunion or even a teens party. Love the little message on the bottle. Simple and elegant!

I used these cute little frames http://www.rosemarycompany.com/wedding_bridal/beach-theme-photo-frame-favors.html for both place card holders and a favor for guests at a beach themed bridal shower. I love the idea with the Smores in a box and may have to try it for Girl Scouts!

This is such a wonderful mix of ideas! Loved the cake most of all, plus those graham-sand-covered cupcakes provided a nice summery touch to the entire spread. Awesome teamwork here. :)

A lot of great ideas here. I particularly like the message in the bottle in the sand on the cake and the sand looking icing on the cupcakes. It’s so much fun to see how the beach theme is carried out through the wedding!

I have to agree with Jenni, the S’mores in a clear box are just great. A nice touch to a beach theme.

The cupcakes are such a clever idea and the message in a bottle to replace the couple on top of the cake is brilliant. Another terrific party idea with some delightful creative inspiration. What a great way to celebrate the relationship.
