PARTY DETAILS, as told by the Bride…

Blake and I met at work and kept our relationship a secret from co-workers for two years. It was super sneaky and totally fun! From the beginning we loved to go on adventures together, without really telling anyone. When we decided to get married, eloping somewhere far away sounded perfect. We had a relaxed ceremony on the beach in St. John, USVI, with our close friend as a witness. It was beautiful, exciting, a little naughty, and perfectly “us.”

Since we wanted to celebrate with our friends and family too, we decided to have a reception party in Manhattan Beach CA where we live. I wanted it to be uncomplicated and playful. No stress allowed. I chose calming colors for a beachy mellow vibe.

I’m from Hawaii and love Reggae music; Blake is from Arizona and loves Country, so we played a mixture of both for an easygoing atmosphere. The reception felt natural, with a laid back flow, nothing felt awkward or pushed. It was an amazing night.
