Although most of the parties we feature are kids’ birthdays, showers, etc.,  I love getting a glimpse into other peoples’ weddings. You start to feel a part of their special day, like you somehow know them really well! Is that weird? ;) Allison Mackey of Allison Noelle Events & Isari Flower Studio + Event Design did an amazing job putting together this Radiant Plum & Green Storybook Wedding for a lovely (& very fashionable) couple with bright purple blooms, rustic wooden accents and an absolutely breathtaking ceremony venue!

Anne and Dave met while working at Loews hotel in Coronado and hit it off right away. Dave was briefly relocated to Florida, and Anne to Santa Barbara. However, Dave couldn’t stand being that far from Anne and soon followed her to Santa Barbara, proposed and the rest is history!

When it came time to choose a venue, they knew they wanted to get married at the place they fell in love — Rancho Bernardo Inn. The property with it’s lush greenery, gardens and golf course was the perfect pick for the understated elegance and garden vibe they wanted to create. They wanted to weave in subtle hints from the venue into their decor, which they achieved with custom escort cards and menus. The wooden lanterns, vibrant flowers and romantic candlelight centerpieces echoed the signature elements found in the gardens.

A sunset ceremony set on the first tee provided a romantic backdrop for the ceremony which could be seen through the beautiful sheer draped & garland embellished arch. Anne and Dave’s most important element was that their guests have fun, so they ended the night with the bride’s favorite shot and a signature libation on the outdoor terrace. The end result was a romantic and timeless wedding they will never forget.
