Spooky Bean Bag Toss – Halloween Game
Need a kid-friendly game for your Halloween party? This Spooky Bean Bag Toss is easy to set up, doesn’t require much prep, and won’t leave a big mess!
The Semi-DIY Approach
To make this project EXTRA easy, I used a store-bought game that was already orange and black, then wrapped the pole in fake cobwebs and plastic spiders to give it a Halloween vibe.
I also designed an 8×10 “Spooky Bean Bag Toss” sign for the finishing touch. (It’s part of my Modern Witch printable collection.)

You’ll need:
- Bean Bag Bucketz Game (or similar)
- Plastic Cauldrons (or other trick-or-treat containers) to hold the bean bags
- Decorative White Spooky Cloth or Faux Spiderwebs
- Plastic Spiders
- Hot Glue Gun
Game Prep:
- Assemble the game.
- Weave & wrap the cloth/spiderwebs around the center pole.
- Hot glue plastic spiders onto the cloth.
- Place the bean bags in plastic cauldrons.
How to Play:
- If you have 6 or more players, divide them into two teams and assign each team a different bean bag color.
- Players from each team take turns tossing bean bags. Each player gets 4 tosses per turn.
- The goal is to get the bean bags into the orange buckets with different point values. Players receive the number of points on the bucket in which their bean bag lands.
- Designate a non-player to keep track of the score. The team with the most points wins!
Make Your Own Rules
There are lots of other ways to play this game, too—the game itself specifies “16 different ways to play”!
And even though I used it for a kid’s party here, this could definitely work as an adult Halloween game, too… especially with some adult beverages involved! *wink*
