DIY: Stacked Box Bridal Shower Cake

Quick Jump To » Comments

Bridal Shower Centerpiece Idea

Here’s a different kind of bridal shower centerpiece or accent decor idea that is cute, quick & easy, and can be customized to your own theme in so many ways…

I found this cute set of round red nesting boxes at IKEA for $9.99, stacked them, and wrapped each tier with a band of decorative paper that coordinated with the rest of the party.  For the “cake topper” – a framed print featuring a photo of the happy couple. This particular frame is double-sided and also from Ikea… and at only 99¢ you can’t beat the price!

Bridal Shower Centerpiece Idea

If you don’t live near an IKEA, try doing an online search for “round nesting boxes” or “round stacking boxes“.

BoxandWrap.com has some cute round & square nested boxes in several feature different patterns – so you could them these as-is, or maybe add a solid color ribbon for a reverse effect to the above.

P.S. If you know of any other resources for these types of boxes that could be helpful to others that want to do something similar, please share them here. Thank you!

Oh, I love this! I’m planning a “ruby anniversary” party for my in-laws’ 40th anniversary, and this would be a perfect centerpiece, color scheme and all.

Fun idea! Nashvile Wraps has some nested boxes. I use them for a lot of decorative packaging supplies. Here’s the link to the boxes: https://www.nashvillewraps.com/boxes/nested-boxes/mc-42

I had the idea of doing just this & cutting a card slit in the top & holes enough in the boxes below so that guests can put their cards in it My idea was with square boxes but it would work with round too. Wish I had a picture to share with you. These are pretty. Love the colors.

i have done that recently for a libarary display and it’s so easy and looks so great. The display was about fiction books that have recipes in them. It’s slogan have your cake and READ it too.

i may do it for my baby shower.

I think major craft retailers like Michaels and JoAnn have some boxes like that. I’ve purchased them there in the past but I don’t know how many sizes they have though.

I am planning my sister’s bridal shower and I stumbled upon this post – I love this idea an am definitely using it. One question – where did you find the little bird? My sister’s wedding theme is love birds, so the little bird you added would be a nice homage to her theme.

Just made two of these for my sisters fall themed wedding showers. IKEA had the boxes in brown and we used fun fall colored paper to wrap the layers. It turned out AMAZING! We got soo many compliments! Thank you for the wonderful ideas! Her shower was perfect!
