Super Mario Power Up Fruit Cup Station
Here’s a fun snack idea for your Super Mario birthday party: POWER UP Fruit Cups!
I’ve designed two Super Mario-themed candy buffets in the past – and wanted to try something different this time. This FRUIT-filled buffet was super tasty, colorful, AND still a big hit with the kids! 🎉
It was also simple to put together. 🙌 We had a variety of fruits + extra toppings like Cool Whip and granola.
Styling the Station
Shiny gold treat cups & gold spoons were a nod to the gold coins in the game. I also hot-glued plastic gold coins to the front of the fruit containers.
To add some height and much-needed levels, I used inexpensive black wire wall shelves (found at Marshalls).
The finishing touch was a “Make Your Own Power Up Fruit Cup” sign and matching tent cards. These are both part of my full Super Mario printables collection, which is totally FREE!
I found a checkered table runner on Amazon and bright red and yellow polka dot napkins at Walmart.
I also used some whole fruits to help decorate the station and play up the fruit element. They were great as decor and still got eaten later!
Super Mario figurines were a great way to highlight the theme. They make great cupcake toppers too! Check out an example here (Idea #12).
This fruit cup station is just one part of a larger Super Mario party… I’ll be sharing the SUPER YUM Soda Station (that was on the other side of the table) with you next! 😋
