There are lots of benefits to living by the beach, including being able to use it as an awesome party venue! Shawna Brockmeier of Shawna Brockmeier Styled Events created this Super Rad Girl’s Surf Camp Birthday Party for her little surfer girl. I love the bold black & white stripes mixed with the soft pink VW bus — totally untraditional for a beachy party in a really cool way! Hang 10 Amanda! ;)

PARTY DETAILS as told by Shawna…

My daughter loves surfing so we decided to have a surf day camp party! We all met at the beach where her Dad and older brother helped the girls with surfing skills. We then headed back to the house for lunch, cake and swimming!

Decorations:

I worked closely with Tania Fischer and she designed amazing graphics that included a pink surf bus, a black and white tent that matched a tent I designed and surfboards! Tania also had coordinating fabric printed that I incorporated throughout the party! We had a small pop up bus tent for the girls and my Mom created an adorable ‘Surf Camp’ banner that was hung from the tent. I found many surfer girl signs and decals that were used as decorations for the yard and at the beach!

Activities:

After the surfing lessons we went back to the house and went swimming with surf rafts in the pool! We also had a pink bus piñata and played pin the surfboard on the bus. The girls enjoyed relaxing on the lounge chairs after an active day of water activities.

Dessert Table:

The dessert table was a big hit! I had a 3D pink bus cake designed, tent and bus cake pops, candy skewers and matching surf camp cookies!

Party Favors:

I made the girls surf camp hats and bracelets with surfer girl charms, I also designed ribbons that they got after completing surf camp that said hang 10!

The girls had a great day– happy birthday to my little surfer girl!
