With red bandanas, gingham in blue and a hefty dose of CHOO CHOO, this awesome party is rolling out of the station! Tali Charisky of Revelry Street was the conductor of this Choo Choo Our Boy is Two! {Train Birthday Party}. I am in awe of the way she transformed the train car to display the adorable, retro style tablescape & dessert table — how amazing is that venue?! And those adorable railroad inspired sweeties? I’ve got steam coming out of my ears from the excitement! ;) I’m betting the birthday boy was in choo choo train heaven.

PARTY HIGHLIGHTS to look out for:

  • Train themed children’s books & a ‘Jordan’ topped wooden train + red & blue honeycomb balls & tassels
  • Dessert table “fueling station” with black licorice “coal,” pretzel “logs” & a rainbow layer cake
  • M&M topped stoplight brownies & fruit skewers + railroad crossing & train car cookies
  • Custom cutout of the birthday boy as decor & a photo booth prop + custom chalkboard schedule
  • Bandanas & seersucker hat party favors + a train ride through the park to end the day

PARTY DETAILS, as told by Tali…

Inside the decorated train car, the “mini conductors” could get crafty with customized coloring pages, munch on some choo choo treats including “coal” licorice, pretzel “logs,” and train wheel pasta, visit the “fueling station,” or have some sweet treats such as traffic light fruit kebabs, traffic light brownies, bandana wrapped candies, or railroad cookies and cupcakes.

The (simple) DIY plates were made to look like a railroad sign while custom confetti and honeycomb ball centerpieces lined the tables.

A train set play area was set up outdoors along with a train conductor entertainer for some fun interactive activities and games. In addition to train themed photo props, you could also snap your pic with a giant cut out of the birthday boy! Before heading on the train ride, guests checked into “baggage claim” where they picked up their train whistle, conductor hat, and bandana…ALL ABOARD!
