Tracy of Sweet Peach Paperie invited friends to “Slow Down and Celebrate” at her twin daughters’ Preppy Pink & Green Turtle Party. At a recent trip to the beach the girls watched a little baby turtle return to the ocean and were inspired by this excitement for their upcoming celebration! With help from some great vendors, sea shells that they collected for their own personal touch & mom’s paper printables this precious party came to life!

PARTY HIGHLIGHTS to look out for:

PARTY DETAILS, as told by Tracy

For the girls’ 4th birthday, we celebrated poolside with a preppy pink and green sea turtle beach club theme. While recently at the beach, the girls patiently watched a baby sea turtle making his voyage from the nest to the ocean. The fun experience and desire for a pool party quickly decided their birthday theme.

The dessert table was set up on the clubhouse balcony, overlooking our neighborhood pool and lake. With the help of some wonderful vendors, the party was simple, but preppy, fun and most importantly, a chance to slow down and celebrate! I designed the invitations and paper decor, and then sought the help of some great talent. The adorable sea turtle cookies were custom designed by Sweet Goosie Girl to perfectly match our preppy pink and green turtle. The turtle cupcakes and cake were created by a local baker, Creations Bakery. Fun Paper Straws shared their pink and green striped straws and Stacy Mize Photography did a fabulous job with all the photos. Party Depot, a local party store, supplied the preppy green polka dot and pink balloons. The City Bistro did a wonderful job in helping cater. Favor Boutique by Angelique created the fun pink and green soap favors, which were a big hit with my little ones! Paper and party decor was designed by Sweet Peach Paperie.

The dessert table was set up with a green polka dot fabric background and decorating with hanging paper medallions and our patterned flag banner. Pink and green polka dots, lattice and greek key patterns were used on the paper decor throughout. Sand castle pails from Party City were used to hold the “Lil Turtle Lunches”. The initals were made of coordinating card stock, cut into the letter shape and lined with green yarn. They were then attached to a dowel rod and stuck in the basket to stand. The table centerpieces were simply sand (brown sugar) with sea shells that we collected from our recent beach trip. Our sea turtle theme invited our friends to “Slow Down and Celebrate” and that is exactly what we did! It was the most perfect night to celebrate our girls as the summer comes to an end!
