twin's beach bash birthday party dessert table

It’s already quite the task to style a birthday party for one kid, but add another one to the mix and you’ve got yourself a real feat! Case in point: check out this awesome Beach Bash Birthday Party that Julie Verville of Crowning Details created the for twin boys, Tanner & Joey. And even though summer is fast approaching, not all of us have easy access to the beach… so to fully “transport” party guests for this occasion, Julie even had sand brought into the backyard!! I’d say that definitely deserves four thumbs up ;).

PARTY HIGHLIGHTS to look out for:

  • Beach ball cake balls & flip flop cookies + crabby croissant sandwiches & party circle cupcake topper
  • Beach-inspired tablescape with starfish & nautical floral centerpieces + driftwood framed sign
  • Inflatable surfboards & water slides + a beach ball & fish netting dessert table backdro
  • Fondant beach ball topped birthday cakes & beach bucket party favors filled with sand essentials

PARTY DETAILS, as told by Julie…

This beach theme is one of my all-time favorites!! And who can resist falling in love with
these adorable twins!

Main Dessert Table:

The main focal point of the party’s décor was the dessert table, which highlighted surf-inspired smash cakes for both of the twins, beach ball cake balls sitting in brown sugar to resemble sand, hand-piped flip flop cookies and fun beach props.

Party Activities:

Guests at the party splashed around in a variety of pools, slid down the giant inflatable water slide and built sandcastles in the sand brought into the yard specifically for the occasion.

Party Favors:

“Splish, Splash, I had a blast” tags adorned colorful sand buckets filled with beach essentials (beach balls, sand toys and sunglasses), which were set out for guests as they departed.

Adorable! I absolutely adore the crab croissants. I was wondering if the sand is what you’d get from a local home improvement store or would there be a special place to purchase sand? This is a great idea I’d use for my kids on a hot day!
