PARTY DETAILS, as told by Heather

“This Multicultural Glam shoot at The Ebell of Los Angeles was so much fun to do and I love what came out of a true labor of love. We incorporated exotic flowers, peacock feathers, coffee, and chocolate in color & flavor to create an exotic, multicultural, glamorous wedding inspiration.

Our gorgeous couple, Laura & Sanjay, as captured by Picotte Weddings, really brought the multicultural glam theme to life in their authentic Indian outfits, as well as the bride’s gorgeous Alina Pizzano Couture Gown accented by a jeweled & feathered hairpiece by Florabond. And the hair & makeup couldn’t have been more gorgeous from the amazingly talented team at Fiore Beauty.

The floral décor by the lovely Peony & Plum, was eclectic, bright and colorful and full of texture. She used a variety of flora & fauna including orchids, anemonies, roses, succulents, lisianthus, kangaroo paw, and ranunculus. The flowers were abundantly flowing out of the arrangements seen in an eclectic mix of vessels including Moroccan lanterns, wooden boxes, gold bowls, glass votives, and even a treasure chest.

The rental items from Classic Party Rentals added that touch of class including the gold and chocolate brown Chameleon Chairs, Blue Glassware, Wooden Flatware,  and Amber Colored Glass Chargers. We also had a scrumptious ‘mini cake’ made out of layered cookies & chocolate filling for each guest as our favor by Fantasy Frostings.

And I love the use of color in the amazing invitations from Blue Magpie Invitations with a fuchsia silk wrapped backing, and then each cards font being in an array of colors from violet to turquoise, and chocolate brown to fuchsia. She also did the most simple yet stunning menu cards, escort cards, and fabulous signage for the coffee bar and table number.

In keeping with our glamorous, colorful, eclectic vibe, we chose an array of linen colors & textures from BBJ Linen. The cake table had a gorgeous overlay and a custom backdrop made out of an array of scarves (easy DIY idea). The cake from Fantasy Frostings, a basic white confection with 2 custom sugar flowers ended up becoming a wow statement with the addition of the silk wrapped tiers and an abundance of flowers on each tier and hugging the bottom of the cake and flowing out onto the table.

We also wanted to create a new spin on the beverage station by doing an exotic coffee bar using a copper urn from Classic Party Rentals, and a ‘Dark Chocolate Coffee’ sign from Blue Magpie Invitations to complete the table. The overall design makes me want to go somewhere exotic and get away.”

*swoon* That is simply the most stunning use of colour. What a gorgeous, gorgeous wedding, although anything that has a beautiful sari in it instantly gets me swooning. Beautiful!
