PARTY DETAILS, as told by Amanda

Since Sawyer was born I have called him my Little Mister – he’s my baby, my boy.  While browsing around on Etsy I saw an invitation for a Mustache Bash that referred to the birthday boy as Little Man, and it hit me how perfect that theme would be! I’ve also had a growing obsession with all the cool knick knacks that belonged to my grandparents so I decided to mix the two and create a 1930s/40s feel that celebrated the ‘stache. I got most of the decorations from Etsy and then searched my grandparents garage full of stuff and a local store called Uncommon Objects for the suitcases, boxes and old pictures. I combined old pieces with handmade paper centerpieces, mustaches and old pictures to create the Mister theme. I loved being able to celebrate the history my grandparents had created and use it for the next generation of our family. Our caterer 2dine4 provided manly food such as mini corn dogs with mustard and fried chicken, meatball and beef sliders. Paper boats with fries and fried mac n cheese balls satisfied even our little guests.

I still love the colors from his nursery so I decided to use them in his party. Marigold, aqua and navy blue mixed with old suitcases, pencil boxes and even aqua and blue colored books scored from Uncommon Objects. All tbe kiddos took home a mustache favor bag with chocolate staches, crayon staches and even some stick on staches. Even the adults took home a favor in the form of custom koozies.
