I just adore everything about this cool Tricycle-Inspired Baby Shower coordinated by 2Chic Events & Design. The vibe is light-hearted & playful, while the vintage-meets-modern style is chic & grown-up… the perfect combo for creating a FUN party atmosphere for mom-to-be & her party guests!

The fabulous paper elements featured throughout the shower really help tie everything together… from stylized Mad Libs and Baby Bingo games to Tricycle Treat Bags and themed Photo Booth Strips. Also loving the design of the AMAZING cake trio – complete with fondant stripes, stars, diamonds, and bunting banners!

Tricycle Inspired Baby Shower Ideas

2Chic Events & Design was honored to plan a baby shower for one our very best friends – Jackie of Jacqueline Photography! THE INSPIRATION for the design of this baby shower came from the expectant Mommy’s nursery color scheme and a vintage-esque tricycle that her grandmother purchased for Baby Evan.

With the help of the fabulous girls at Invitations Ink, we came up with a modern-meets-vintage theme that incorporated the tricycle throughout and we rolled with it! Invitations Ink started things off with the most adorable invitation, which the whole world fell in love with, and we went from there!

To share our source of inspiration with the guests, we used the tricycle as the main centerpiece and placed it right smack in the middle of the food table. Additional {absolutely beautiful} floral centerpieces were provided by Botanica Floral Designs.

The handcrafted wooden letters that spelled EVAN were also the work of the Invitations Ink girls. We decided that the best placement for them would be on a vintage shutter that I had recently restored and embellished – and it was the perfect fit!

The guests were treated to a vast assortment of finger foods {labeled accordingly, of course!}, white wine sangria, flavored Pellegrino, and finally, the most delicious cake known to man, which was also provided by Sweet Cakes by Rebecca.

While munching away, guest participated in a baby mad libs game, which had everyone cracking up, followed by a custom-made version of Baby Bingo.

Guests were invited to take a piece of this lovely shower home with them in the form of desserts and candies from the dessert bar, which consisted of items made by friends of Jackie’s along with some fabulous tricycle cookies from Sweet Cakes by Rebecca!

Paper bags with the tricycle logo were available for guests to fill with treats. We also had a photo booth at the ready and guests also took home Evan-themed strips of fun and funny photos!”

You have some really creative ideas! Unfortunately, I can’t play mad libs with my kids anymore since they found out how much funnier it is when you use the word butt over and over again (they are 4 and 6 so luckily that is the dirtiest word they know)

    • Rashell Choo January 25, 2011 at 8:24 pm

When were testing out the Mad Libs, Jessica’s kids (10 and 12 yrs old) came up with “I think that Evan is going to have {yellow} eyes and the cutest little {bladder}”. Wonder where they were going with that thought…. Although they did have us laughing for at least 10 minutes :)
