After seeing this fabulously modern Autumn Dinner Party tablescape from Linda at In The Making Design, we are feeling so inspired to set the dining room table for Thanksgiving this year! The rich chocolate brown table linen paired with pops of bright green and orange makes for such a warm and eye-catching fall party palette.

It doesn’t hurt that I’m spotting tons of budget-friendly IKEA finds either… including the glass pretty glass candle holders and geometric fabric used for the “table runner”… both of which happen to already be living in our “party pantry” too. ;)  There’s such a lovely simplicity and classic style to this table in general, which makes it not only pretty to look at, but also very approachable inspiration for anyone that wants to recreate a similar look at home… for Thanksgiving celebrations & beyond!

“The party was a dinner party for twelve celebrating my husband’s birthday. His birthday is in late October and we felt it was fitting to go with an Autumn theme.

The invitation set the tone with a simple, classic, and sophisticated look. For the table top I used brown linen table cloth with a green silk runner with brown velvet pattern, all white china from IKEA’s 365+ line, glass candle holders, also from IKEA, and centerpieces, green candles, and brown glass beads.

The flowers are hydrangeas and greenery wreaths with berries and mini pumpkins. The napkins were carefully chosen to match the green of the runner and the colors of the berries in the wreaths. At each place setting sat a little menu that matched invitation and a small hydrangea twig.”
