PARTY DETAILS, as told by Nicole…

Nicole Hirsty of Cobalt Events was so excited to design an OZ themed Adult table and Kid Table. “There are so many amazing details to draw inspiration from and we loved incorporating Emerald Green, the color of the year! The kid’s table had a more kitschy feel while we just used unique touches to give it an upscale OZ feel” said Nicole of Cobalt Events.

As you take a seat at the OZ table, so many iconic OZ details catch your eye. We knew we wanted to include the yellow brick road & the infamous red ruby slippers for the kids table. We collaborated with Eddie Zaratsian from Tic-tock Couture Florals to help bring some of these ideas to life. Bricks (you can find at your local Home Depot) were hand painted with yellow paint to create the yellow brick road and placed down an 8 ft. banquet table. You could also use this to create a pathway for your guests to walk through on the floor when entering a room. White daisies were used to line the yellow brick road and we placed a couple pairs of ruby red slippers on the yellow brick road. We also created a shoe chandelier by layering a few pairs of ruby slippers to hang over the table. A burlap linen was used to create a neutral foundation and green napkins were added for a pop of green (linens provided by Wildflower Linen). A custom invitation, menu, name card and table numbers were all custom created by the talented Damon from The Paper Door. The menu included Tin Man Sliders, Glinda Fries & Dorothy Desserts. This is a fun way to personalize any kind of party! The invitation incorporates elements from the blue gingham on Dorothy’s dress and ruby red glitter representing the shoes. Each place setting had a ruby red plates and green glasses provided by Classic Party Rentals. Tic Tock Couture Florals created a leaf charger (something you can create at home by just layering and gluing leaves together in a circular pattern.) Each guest has a custom ruby red slipper cookie to take home with them for the favor. A combination of natural wood chivari chairs provided by Classic Party Rentals and bench were used for the seating. This table was created for the munchkins to have lots of fun!

Welcome to the Emerald City! Nicole Hirsty of Cobalt Events created a tabletop that was an ode to the Emerald City. The luxe emerald green taffeta table cloth, napkins and chair covers (provided by Wildflower Linen) set the tone of this upscale OZ party. A combination of high and low golden yellow florals (provided by Tic Tock Couture Florals) set in emerald green and clear crystal vases created an elegant runner for the table. Candles placed in gold votives illuminated off the beautiful Gold chargers, flatware and stemware (provided by Classic Party Rentals). The Paper Door created custom escort cards, menus, table number and a gorgeous emerald green invitation with a rhinestone O to represent OZ. I think any guest would love to click their heels at this party!
