Baby Gender Reveal Baby Shower - Wonderlandia

When I asked Jesi of Jesi Haack Design to create a Wonderlandia themed table tailored to a BABY SHOWER {for the Glue Dots Tablescape Exhibit} at our launch party, I had no idea she was also going to incorporate the Gender Reveal aspect but am so happy that she did!

Gender reveal partieswhether an intimate dinner with family or a full-on baby shower – seem to be a growing trend lately, and I have to agree that it’s very fun/exciting to be able to actually witness the facial expressions of the parents-to-be when they first discover if it’s a little boy or a little girl that will be joining their family and process that for the first time… truly an amazing thing!

Another thing I wasn’t aware of when approaching Jesi about this table… she’s actually pregnant herself! And in order to bring her table to life she enlisted the help of floral designer Carissa from JL Designs and pastry chef Melody of Sweet and Saucy Shop, who BOTH happen to be expecting as well… so what you see here is a baby shower theme dreamed up by preggo ladies… now there’s fun twist! (And CONGRATS to all three!} Add in some wonderfully playful & modern stationery elements by Posh Paperie, and this all adds up to one amazing looking party. And in case you’re curious about the outcome in this particular instance… It’s a GIRL! =)

PARTY DETAILS, as told by Jesi…

“All of us that were involved in this table design are pregnant, so it was a perfect fit!  For a baby shower, we wanted to take it into the less traditional direction and do a gender reveal baby shower.  So we had cupcakes made for each guest with a pink frosting on the INSIDE so that when they bit into the cupcake, they knew it was a GIRL!  Carissa brought in some very whimsical flowers with white feathers, and fun plants that we placed in ceramic white vases and teapots, to keep to the Wonderlandia theme!”

Glue Dots were used to secure name cards to the tea cups and menus to the the plates.”

My daughter recently told me I couldn’t go to her sonogram. She was going to have me find out the sex of the baby by doing cupcakes or some other idea. I was really disappointed, but after seeing this it might be really exciting!

Beautiful! Gender reveal parties are so much fun. I love the clear chiavari chairs. These chairs would be perfect for a Princess Birthday Party as well.
