This colorful “Birthday Farm” Kids Party by Laura from Live Smile Celebrate just looks like a blast for the wee ones and is loaded with creative, budget friendly ideas!

Some of my favorite details include: marshmallow pops and swirly pops sprouting from mini hay bales (so cute!), paper-wrapped PB&J sandwiches, a dessert table flanked with super-creative DIY barn silos that Laura crafted cardstock and sonar tubes (purchased from the hardware store), mini milk bottles (MOO!), and barnyard themed printables featuring darling animal illustrations that adorned everything from the table to the treats. Oh ya… and can’t forget this adorable fondant-and-mini-marshmallow sheep cake topper!

PARTY DETAILS, as told by Laura…

Kids Table:

“For the table, I used a checkered fabric to cover the table to give it a farm feel. Each place setting had two square plates which I layered, with a sticker on the top plate. The silverware was wrapped in a holder, and placed with a crisscrossed folk and spoon. Each child was also given a regular or chocolate milk. The centerpieces were pail buckets filled with yellow jelly beans with birthday signs sticking out of them. Lastly, each chair had a cowboy hat for each child.

Dessert Table:

I used a red and white polka dot fabric for the backdrop and hung the Happy Birthday banner over the fabric. I created two barn silos – using sonar tubes from my local hardware store – by spray painting them red and using strips of stock card to create the tops.

The center of the table was placed with a wooden wheelbarrow filled with animal crackers, and I used hay barrels for each side of the table to display swirly lollipops and marshmallow pops in the other. Also on the table was a basket filled with cowtails, cow pails filled with carmel candies, carmel apples with sprinkles, and boxes of animal crackers.

I made a small cake for the birthday boy to have for his special day and created a fondant sheep topper, which I’ve seen around the Internet. Instead of using all fondant though, I cut mini marshmallows to make his body. The cake was surrounded by cupcakes with coordinating paper toppers.

Food Table:

The food was kept simple and appropriate for 2 year olds. We had an assortment of peanut butter, jelly, and fluff sandwiches. The sandwiches were wrapped in press and seal wrap, then wrapped in paper with a sticker label of what each sandwich was. Also served was animal crackers and goldfish crackers. Also served was water with lemon, and regular and chocolate milk in large milk bottles.”
