nostalgic red and gray christmas decor

Happy first Monday of December! Does is feel odd you that it’s already December? Because I’m having a hard time wrapping my head around that fact myself – the gap between Thanksgiving and December 1st was way too short this year. And I just realized that means Christmas is barely more than 3 weeks away – yikes!! Guess it’s REALLY time to get started on those Christmas decorations…

When it comes to decorating for Christmas, I usually opt for a modern look and non-traditional colors – but as you can see from my Instagram post from Target a few weeks ago, the cozy warmth of a more traditional look is really inspiring me to change things up a bit this year.

I love how the Winter Start collection at Target gives the nostalgic Christmas look a more modern feel by mixing mod silhouettes with plaid and felt textures. Some of my favorite items from this collection are pictured here (hello, adorable felt fox and reindeer!). You can find the shopping links to everything below, followed by a few Rustic Christmas Party Ideas inspired by this same look – because we all know that it makes life so much easier when your holiday party decor matches your holiday home decor… especially when you only have a few weeks to get ready! ;)
