halloween party decor and invitation ideas

Halloween is my favorite holiday of the year, and this post is filled with so many of the reasons why! Insanely cute costumes, clever treats (with a mix of both healthy and sweet), and unexpected pops of creativity everywhere… from googly-eyed pumpkin faces popping out of tea pots and paper mice “climbing” the stairs – to the cutest “bat” wine bottle you ever did see. More, please! ;)

Kudos to Shana Rosenheck of POMP Party for infusing so many fun & stylish details in this Simple & Modern Halloween Party, which is geared for the little ones, but has plenty of elements that will appeal to the grown ups too. Make sure to check out all of the kid-friendly “spooky” party ideas below, as well as the full recipes for her healthy treat options right here.

PARTY HIGHLIGHTS to look out for:

– Witch’s feet cookies & upturned witch’s legs in the dip + monster & ‘Boo!’ cupcakes
– Crawling black paper spiders + flying bats & paper rats in the stairs
– Adorable costumes on the kids (and on the wine bottles!)
– Mini pumpkin decorating activity for the kids, complete with googly eyes & mini witch hats

PARTY DETAILS as told by Shana

This party was created for a group of young children, so I wanted to make sure that the feel was not too spooky. I also wanted to incorporate healthy alternatives to offset the bags of candy we would be collecting later that evening. My favorite decorative element would have to be the tiny pumpkins with googly eyes. I also loved how the children were interested in eating some of the healthy alternatives. Check out the recipes for my 3 favorites right here.

[…] Halloween decor brings thoughts of floaty ghosts and webs and witches. Balloons make a much less menacing decoration and you can let the kiddos draw their own friendly faces on them. (via Hostess With The Mostess) […]
