How to Cut Out A Party Circle {+ 3 Ways to Use It}
Since we opened our Party Printable Shop, we’ve received a ton of questions about printing, placing and putting together all of the party elements… so we’re going to show you how to use all of them! First up, the most versatile item in our collections- the Party Circle! We’re going to use circles from our Pink Nautical Birthday Collection because that’s what we had lying around this week ;)
HOW TO CUT OUT A PARTY CIRCLE

Supplies:
- Cutting board or scissors
- 2” Circle Punch
- Printable sheet
Step by Step instructions:
1. Take your printables pages and cut off one side, along the edge of the artwork (either with scissors or the cutting board), .
2. Center your 2” circle punch so the artwork shows through, and punch out.
3. Tape a toothpick to the back.
4. Top your treats! (Easy as a cupcake!)

HOW TO USE A PARTY CIRCLE
There are so many ways to embellish, but we’ll show you 3 more of our favorites!
MAKE A GARLAND
Tape, or use a glue dot to attach pretty twine, yarn or your string of choice, to the back of the party circle. Repeat. Cut string and hang.
DRESS UP YOUR DRINK
Wrap pattern paper around your glass and tape together. Use a glue dot or tape and attach the party circle to the front. And for a final touch, add a cute straw! ;)
WRAP UP A FAVOR BOX
Use pattern paper to cover the top and wrap the sides. Add twine for extra embellishment and stick a party circle on top for adorable party matching favors!

Thanks for the tutorial, I’ve been waiting for something like this. Can you please let me know what kind of paper to use. I see a lot of blogs refer to cardstock but is there a particular weight paper that works best in the printer? Thanks again!

Thanks for your question! We usually recommend using a 44lb cardstock or you can use Matte Photo paper.
Hi, I just want to say that you are doing an awesome job with this blog, really brilliant ideas and do- it -yourself projects. I have just one question,is it ok to use scrap booking paper to create party circles for cupcake toppers and placement cards? I’m planning a batman theme party for my nephew and I really needed some advise on what paper to use for such projects.thank you in advance.
Thanks for the kind words, Nicky! You can definitely use scrapbook paper for the party circles and place cards – and for a lot of other things too… try cutting strips of them for “napkin rings”, lining food trays, embellishing vases, etc. with decorative papers. I used to use scrapbook paper all the time before I started designing party printables. The design possibilities are endless too since there are so many different scrapbook papers available! You definitely want to use the standard 12″ scrapbook paper weight for things like party circles too – it’s a little thicker than regular paper and feels kind of like a fine card stock. Good luck with the party! :)
